1 Peter 2:24 (The Message)
21-25This is the kind of life you've been invited into, the kind of life Christ lived. He suffered everything that came his way so you would know that it could be done, and also know how to do it, step-by-step.
He never did one thing wrong,
Not once said anything amiss.
They called him every name in the book and he said nothing back. He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. He used his servant body to carry our sins to the Cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. His wounds became your healing. You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you're named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls.
Have you ever been accused of something you did not do? Has someone called you by a name you did not deserve to be called?
Jesus knows your feelings of accusation and torment from those situations, he went through the same things. You may say "no one understands what I am going through." I am here to share with you that there is a man who died on a cross for you and DOES understand every pain inside your heart and in your body, mind, and soul.
You may be reading this and thinking "no one cares." There is a great God who knows the number of hairs on your head. I don't know about you, but my own mother doesn't know that number nor do I and it's my hair. “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin[]? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. 30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:28-31
You may call me a liar and say "you don't know that." I am here to share with you that God cannot lie and it is written. This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began. Titus 1:2
You may believe the lie of the world and agree with all the negative talk around you, but I want you to know that no matter how much you fight against Jesus calling your name and try to run as he chases after you, you can't out run or out smart God.
By His stripes you are healed! All you have to do is stop running and accept him and his love, help, and adoration for you.
God, the Father of Truth, loves you so much he sent his only Son to die on a cross just for YOU. He wants to take away your sins. This act of love didn't come with any glitz and glamour, but pure love, pure and honest LOVE. Won't you stop in your tracts today and allow the love of God wash over you and lay down your heavy heart for him to carry?
Humble yourself before the Lord and he will lift you up. James 4:10
