Changes

I can remember a time in my life that I felt the most excitement and joy. It was a time when I was growing and changing; like a butterfly.
We all go through transformations. Sometimes we feel it and just walk through it.

God is the only one that changes from the inside out.
My mentor, Marla, looked me straight in the eye and said "Marjorie, you can change your hair, change your clothes, your makeup, even diet, but it isn't going to matter unless you allow change to happen on the inside."
After she told me this, I wondered why she used the word "allow." Many years later I found out the answer.
God is a gentle-man. He does nothing without an invitation. I had to surrender, return home, repent for thinking I was in control of my change on the inside as well as the outside.
Just as the butterfly, as it changes on the inside, it shows on the outside. Our old is gone and our new is here to stay-when we allow it. When we change on the inside, God's glory shines on the outside.

What do people see on the outside of you?
All the changes you are making on the outside isn't going to matter until the changes on the inside take place.
