Plate is Full, But What About Dessert?

Since I have added one more thing to my plate, my family and friends have been concerned about me and my schedule. I've learned from past mistakes that first, you control your activities not the other way around, next you schedule your activities around God NOT God around the activities. The third lesson I've learned is that there will be times I will have to stop and reevaluate my schedule and activities to the leadership God has given to me. My relationship with Jesus Christ, the son of God is more important to me than all the activities in my life.
I have to rely on the Holy Spirit and His direction for the activities in my life in order of priority He sets. I think of a parent with small children. This parent may have two or three children ranging from different ages or maybe twins / triplets. The parent has to find time to be alone with Jesus too. This parent has two or more major responsibilities plus activities on the side. This parent has to make the right choices for themselves and list their priorities just as I do. Our situations are different yet similar.
I feel loved by the people in my life who care about my health, my life choices, and my relationship with God. I have made many mistakes in my relationship with Jesus, but I take those mistakes now and am on a new and different journey.
How about you? What does your quiet time with the LORD, the Creator, the Son of God look like?
Is it a priority in your life?
If not, check to see what your days turn out to be like; good or bad ones.
» Is there room for dessert? No, not now.

Fireproof (not the movie)

I came across a card that said "Life's most important question:
What happens When I die?" There is more to the question, but I'll get to that soon.
I had a young man on facebook that I was trying to get to understand that there is a place called Hell and
It is hot like that of fire. His response, I cannot repeat word by word, but said something like "sure go ahead and scare someone into your religion."
The conversation periodically runs through my mind.
Perhaps it is because it shows the difference of our beliefs. I believe there is a place called Hell and it is real. I believe that Jesus came to save all of us from our sin, that God raised Him from the dead, and He can be the Lord of your life. I believe you can move from bad things happening in your life to great things received in your life.
I don't believe you have to pray a model prayer, but I do know your heart has to be sincere, honest and open.
I know you have to admit you've done wrong things and you're not perfect and ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you. In case you are wondering why, it's because most of us want to be a god and rule our lives. The only thing wrong with that, is we tend to mess our lives up more.
I could point out places in the Bible that show you will have blessings and not curses, have life and have it more abundantly, and even show you things about Hell.
So, now what happens when you accept Christ? What happens when you admit you're not God and you screw up?
Good question, glad you asked!
Know this, you won't feel a change like when you neck cracks or you take a shower after sweating in the yard. It's much more suttle and silent than that.
You will want to do things differently here on earth, your attitude will change, the things you use to do won't matter anymore and eventually you will find new and good things to do.
The change is most prominent when you die. Jesus will come for you and take you to a mansion in the sky instead of a blazing fire underground. The next time you are at a campfire, burning leaves or at a bon fire, know that underground you will be in that fire and feeling the torment from the blaze, but with God in your life and over your life you are saved from that fire.
