"You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you from there..."
Numerous times it is written that God did not want the children of Israel to forget where they came from, what He delivered them from, nor that He was the One that did it and not of their own accord. This was God's victory through Israel.
Do we, children today, honestly count our blessings and remember what victories in our life we have had because of what God has done through us and for us?
We find it so easy to complain about our situations and other people.
We survived yesterday, last week, last month, or last year(s) with victories/blessings.
Can you write down 10 things you hate in this world?
How about writing 10 things you overcame (victories)?
Would you be able to make your victory list longer than your complaint list?
I wonder what mine will look like. I wonder how humbling this will be?
Have you done one yet?
Next I wonder why did God kept repeating himself about forget not where you came from? Could it be because it is easy to fall into pride, self centeredness, self elevation?
I don't know about you, but I think I'm about to start my list of victories and see how many I can find today.
Be encouraged and look for your victories and not your messes
