"You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you from there..."
Numerous times it is written that God did not want the children of Israel to forget where they came from, what He delivered them from, nor that He was the One that did it and not of their own accord. This was God's victory through Israel.
Do we, children today, honestly count our blessings and remember what victories in our life we have had because of what God has done through us and for us?
We find it so easy to complain about our situations and other people.
We survived yesterday, last week, last month, or last year(s) with victories/blessings.
Can you write down 10 things you hate in this world?
How about writing 10 things you overcame (victories)?
Would you be able to make your victory list longer than your complaint list?
I wonder what mine will look like. I wonder how humbling this will be?
Have you done one yet?
Next I wonder why did God kept repeating himself about forget not where you came from? Could it be because it is easy to fall into pride, self centeredness, self elevation?
I don't know about you, but I think I'm about to start my list of victories and see how many I can find today.
Be encouraged and look for your victories and not your messes

Sista, Sista
I look forward to Sunday mornings at First Baptist Church for two reasons. First, Pastor Kirby serves some very interesting foods for thought to the table for us to feast on.
The second reason is to enjoy my sisters in Christ. We laugh, cry, play games like find your match, wear tiaras, and use other visuals all while learning what the Word of God says. They never know what I will bring in to go along with the lesson, but they know it wil be fun and educational.
You may have heard me say the Bible is like a piece of chocolate cake without the calories. These past few Sundays we've really gotten down to the cream pudding inside this chocolate cake.
My hearts desire is for women to know how much God adores them, what He says about them is true, and a deeper relationship with Him will evolve.
My prayer for them is to accept Him by faith through grace and grow into a deeper relationship with them. I pray they are so hidden in Christ that when they walk up to you all you see is Jesus. We are of different ages and ideas, but of one goal. To be more than what we were before we came in.
I invite you to come and join Women in the Word at

The Word "Toxic" ?
This may sound odd to you, but I've been thinking about words lately like sad, lost, amazed, extravagant, and others. I came across one recently "toxic." I think of how people can be "toxic" to each other, words are "toxic," and reactions can be "toxic." Then I started to really wonder what this word REALLY means.
So, I looked it up and found this: from the Webster Online Dictionary.
Toxic
1: containing or being poisonous material especially when capable of causing death or serious debilitation <toxic waste> <a toxic radioactive gas> <an insecticide highly toxic to birds>
2: exhibiting symptoms of infection or toxicosis <the patient became toxic two days later>
3: extremely harsh, malicious, or harmful <toxic sarcasm>
I had to laugh because we have a lot of toxins in our life per the last definition (3). I remember times when people weren't nice to me and I accepted their words of 'toxic sarcasm' as the truth. Being that these words became life to me means that this 'toxicosis' started living inside of me and got my panties in a wad.
Not feeling good now, so what do I do to release these toxins? I have found that when I cry, I release toxins. I honestly release toxins when I let go of the toxic sarcasms from people in my life. I hand these poisonous people and comments over to the Lord.
WOW, I feel so much better. I even think I've lost five pounds just from giving this over to God.
You see, I had so many fears of people, places and things, tormented over situations that happened to me, and hated myself for the way I looked, sounded, or acted sometimes. But then it happened one day. I made a decision to follow the One that is Perfect in every way. It took some time, but over a few days, months, weeks, and years I became free from toxic situations, people, places, and things that had my insides in a knot ALL THE TIME. Oh, this Perfect One, is Jesus Christ.
Do you know He died on a cross? Do you know why He died on a cross? Do you know what His last words were on the cross? He died for you and me while we are still in our mess. His last words were "it is finished." Now you may ask "what is finished?" We are, you and me. He died so that when we accept Him and He lives in us, we are complete in Him. Complete=finished. We don't have to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders; He did it for us by carrying the cross.
Who tells you that you are worthless? Who wants to steal your joy? Kill your happiness? Destroy your family? The number one enemy of me and you, Satan.
Look he's alive and sending demonic assignments against you by his homies; like a gangsta mob leader would. You don't have to take it anymore. You can be free from these weights from chains that are around your neck.
Visit http://www.needhim.org/ and become free today. You are only promised until 11:59pm and you may not reach the next hour. No time like the present or contact me and let's talk over a pop, ice cream, or coffee.
It's time to release some toxins friends and feel better soon.

Disobeying Stinks!
If you have been reading my entries, you know that I have been reading the Bible and plan on reading it through to the end. I am reading in Deuteronomy and came across the passage about how Moses was forbidden to enter the promised land (Deut. 3:23-29).
These passages talks about how Moses was talking to the people of Israel who have survived and are about to enter into the land of Jordan.
I can only imagine the anguish Moses' heart must have gone through. I imagine his face being drenched with tears as he talks to the Lord about it one last time and then to his peers. I can imagine him realizing how huge of a mistake he made that day when he disobeyed God after hitting the rock and water poured out from it.
Have you ever made an "oops, wish I hadn't done that" moment? I believe that is how Moses felt.
God is a man of his word and he repeated himself not once but twice in these passages to make sure Moses knew he was not going to enter into the land of Jordan. Moses was able to see over the land of Jordan, but he couldn't touch it: ouch! A kid looking in the window of the chocolate store, but can't touhc it.
Being a parent, I remember times when I told my kids they couldn't do something as their punishment for being disobedient. I see Moses as the child who did something wrong and he can't go to Disney. Now the car is loaded, the other kids are excited and exuberant about seeing Mickey Mouse, riding the roller coasters, and eating lots of different stuff. Moses can't go. Ouch number two! That hurts.
Maybe you know what is going to happen next in Moses' life, but I don't. I can only speculate that right now.
I believe I understand the scripture that says "Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart." (Ps 37:4 NKJ)
When things go wrong there are many reasons why we didn't get what we wanted. Most of the time it's because our old self gets in the way.
What is your desire today?
Who or what are you delighting in today?
Just a thought as I was reading.

Role Models Today
Moses knew he would not be entering the land that God has prepared and promised to the children of Israel because of his disobedience to God. However, instead of acting like a spoiled child not getting his way or walking away from his leadership role, Moses took this opportunity to travel with the children and prepare them for their new life in their inherited land. In today's world we lack good role models; do we not?
What kind of person do you want to be? Do you want to leave a legacy? What is your legacy today? What will people say after you are gone?
Were you dependable? Were you a person of your word? Were you a teacher or a student? a leader or a follower? Bad tempered or peaceful? Loving or hateful?
A year ago, August 19th, I attended my father's funeral. I am reflecting the words of our attendees and my father was good role model. He had left a good legacy.
I too want to strive to leave something worth talking about in a good manner, like we do with Moses and my father. I want for people to say "when you met Marjorie, you saw Jesus." "Marjorie was a leader of people and student too." I want Father God to say "well done, good and faithful servant." I want to leave the Gospel of Jesus Christ to my children and for them to enter into the land of their inheritance.
~How about you?

So You Want it Your Way?
There are two ways people can go today. Their way that may lead them into a place they didn't want or mean to end up in. The other way is back home. Is coming home going to be the same though?
Selfish people want what they want. Selfish people look to fulfill their hearts desires, chase after taking care of themselves and avoid anyone else in their life. Most selfish people don't care what it takes to fill their need or who it would hurt. Selfish people squander their money, stuff, and things. After all is used up and the bank account is empty or the refrigerator needs to be refilled, or the love of a child is still empty and yearning for the love of the parent and the parent only has love for themselves; it's sad.
It's really sad to think a person, such as myself, loosing everything such as friends, family, being destitute and thinking there is no way out the mess I've made. Where there is no will there is always an excuse. Selfish people make excuses why they need what they want. The funny thing is that when family and friends have turned their backs and said "I'm exhausted" or "I can't trust anymore." There is always one that is waiting for you to turn and make that journey home. When you make that decision, honestly make it, it will show in your actions. You will be received with open arms, arms wide open. The Father will be well and excited and waiting.
If you don't think so I challenge you to read Luke 15: 11-24. Pick the Bible up and read it. You will be rewarded because God wants to give you what you want most; forgiveness. Eternal rewards will come quickly. But if you stay in your selfishness the curses will come slowly. It is written in Deuteronomy 28. I challenge you to read that chapter too.
You see my pastor said it best:
"Our loving Heavenly Father has His arms open wide, gazing, scanning the horizon, waiting for you to make that journey home to repentance! Will you come? Decide right now- come to the arms of the loving Father."
From someone who knows; the journey back home is well worth it! God can and will restore you and your home, but you have to make the first move, He already has.

Counterfeit Money
"I love you," "I can make you happy," "ALL you need is right here," "I'll take care of you," "You don't need anything else but me because I'll make all your pain go away," "my love for you will take care of everything, just stay with me," "I will fulfill all your wants and desires, you just have to work for it."
What is love? You may say you "love chocolate" or you are "in love with your boyfriend/girlfriend." Someone may say "I love my team!" What if the chocolate you eat is bitter? Do you still love it? What if your boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you? Are you still in love with him or her? Now for your favorite team that you love? If they lose, you are sad or even mad, right? So do you still love them?
Now, think of that one person in your life that is hard to love. Do you? Do you love them? It is difficult to love them and yet you know you are called to love them?
To know what true love is and know how it acts you must have a role model. Would this person be your role model? Probably not. So who is your role model?
What is it that this person does or did to show you love?
You see we have a role model and His name is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He said to us Love one another just as I have loved you, you must also love one another.
(John 13:34-35 for the whole story)
Have you ever met someone in sheep's clothing? You know, that one person in your life that may have been a sweet talker and a pursuer for your happiness too. Then time passes and found out that person has a bad temper that scares you, actions aren't matching up with words, that person is saying one thing but sounds like something completely different?
This is the counterfeit.
Look at today's advertisements on television, read the billboards, listen to your advertisements for movies or look at the movie titles themselves. What are you seeing? hearing? believing? This is the counterfeit
I loved the term that R G Lee wrote in his sermon called "Payday Someday!" that I read today. He wrote "The devil pays in counterfeit money."
In Bible class recently we were talking about true love compared to the counterfeit love that the world wants to offer us. I found it rather humorous today.
Money seems to be the root of our issues lately, but is it? I mean I know we need money to survive that is honest and true. What are we depending on though? Is the truth or the counterfeit that we are falling for? The dollar says "In God We Trust"
So, when you yourself are offering love (and I speak for myself also) make sure that it is the love just as Jesus showed us on the cross. His death for our freedom came with a price and it wasn't counterfeit. He loves you just as you are and not asking anything in return. IF you choose to accept Him, you will WANT to change because you LOVE Him. It's a want not a need. He wants you He doesn't need you. You were and are worth loving and meant to be loved.
~Marjorie
I confess that I don't always love with the "true" love that I am suppose to love with. I have to go back to the cross too and watch my role model again.
I'm not perfect, but I am who God says that I am: His.
What is love? You may say you "love chocolate" or you are "in love with your boyfriend/girlfriend." Someone may say "I love my team!" What if the chocolate you eat is bitter? Do you still love it? Moses Went Straight to God, the Disciples Didn't Go Straight to Jesus
As I was reading this morning the chapters 11-13 in the book of Numbers, I thought about how it was written that Moses went straight to God in Prayer. I reread the story in Matthew 14 about feeding the five thousand.
I thought how interesting the Bible shows a difference in the way people have communicated with God the Father and Son.
The Isrealites were complaining to Moses about wanting meat to eat. The Lord heard it and was aroused with anger.
Moses took their complaints straight to the Lord, asking him why have you punished me? I thought you and I were tight Lord, what happened here? I'm just as upset as you are. You were the One that said they would enter into the land you promised to their fathers, not me. So what's up with this Lord?
In lamens terms, God said "fine you want meat? You'll have meat you want until it comes out of your nostrils."
I read this and thought about a parent and child relationship. Has there ever been a time when your child was sitting at the dinner table and only wanted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eat? You fixed this really good and healthy meal and the child only wanted p b and j sandwich. You, the parent, says "okay fine, eat all the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you want." You serve the sandwiches at dinner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner again and again and again. The child will eventually be having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches coming out of his ears.
There were five thousand people who were ready for dinner after hearing Jesus teach all day.
The disciples saw a problem but didn't go straight to Jesus with it. Instead of going to the healer and miracle man, they decided to complain to Jesus and tell the people to leave and go find a restaurant. They said they didn't have any money or food to feed the crowd with.
The disciples had spent time with Jesus and prior to this particular evening the disciples saw many miracles and signs that Jesus was who He said He was. Let's recount the miracles his disciples saw:
Water turned to Wine
Boy healed in Capernaum
Boatload of fish caught in Galilee
Banished at least one demon and healed many
Now think of your relationship with God the Father and Son today. Do you fall to your knees and tell Him exactly what is on your mind the way Moses did or do you complain and tell God what to do like the disciples did?
The best part of God showing me these two passages is that His shoulders are big enough to handle my complaints and His outcome is going to be better than what I can ever think or imagine.
I encourage you to read these two passages and find out what the Lord wants to show you.

Changes
I can remember a time in my life that I felt the most excitement and joy. It was a time when I was growing and changing; like a butterfly.
We all go through transformations. Sometimes we feel it and just walk through it.
God is the only one that changes from the inside out.
My mentor, Marla, looked me straight in the eye and said "Marjorie, you can change your hair, change your clothes, your makeup, even diet, but it isn't going to matter unless you allow change to happen on the inside."
After she told me this, I wondered why she used the word "allow." Many years later I found out the answer.
God is a gentle-man. He does nothing without an invitation. I had to surrender, return home, repent for thinking I was in control of my change on the inside as well as the outside.
Just as the butterfly, as it changes on the inside, it shows on the outside. Our old is gone and our new is here to stay-when we allow it. When we change on the inside, God's glory shines on the outside.
What do people see on the outside of you?
All the changes you are making on the outside isn't going to matter until the changes on the inside take place.
~ Surrender, Repent, Return Home or Come Home- Jesus is waiting.

Plate is Full, But What About Dessert?
Since I have added one more thing to my plate, my family and friends have been concerned about me and my schedule. I've learned from past mistakes that first, you control your activities not the other way around, next you schedule your activities around God NOT God around the activities. The third lesson I've learned is that there will be times I will have to stop and reevaluate my schedule and activities to the leadership God has given to me. My relationship with Jesus Christ, the son of God is more important to me than all the activities in my life.
I have to rely on the Holy Spirit and His direction for the activities in my life in order of priority He sets. I think of a parent with small children. This parent may have two or three children ranging from different ages or maybe twins / triplets. The parent has to find time to be alone with Jesus too. This parent has two or more major responsibilities plus activities on the side. This parent has to make the right choices for themselves and list their priorities just as I do. Our situations are different yet similar.
I feel loved by the people in my life who care about my health, my life choices, and my relationship with God. I have made many mistakes in my relationship with Jesus, but I take those mistakes now and am on a new and different journey.
How about you? What does your quiet time with the LORD, the Creator, the Son of God look like?
Is it a priority in your life?
If not, check to see what your days turn out to be like; good or bad ones.
» Is there room for dessert? No, not now.

Fireproof (not the movie)
I came across a card that said "Life's most important question:
What happens When I die?" There is more to the question, but I'll get to that soon.
I had a young man on facebook that I was trying to get to understand that there is a place called Hell and
It is hot like that of fire. His response, I cannot repeat word by word, but said something like "sure go ahead and scare someone into your religion."
The conversation periodically runs through my mind.
Perhaps it is because it shows the difference of our beliefs. I believe there is a place called Hell and it is real. I believe that Jesus came to save all of us from our sin, that God raised Him from the dead, and He can be the Lord of your life. I believe you can move from bad things happening in your life to great things received in your life.
I don't believe you have to pray a model prayer, but I do know your heart has to be sincere, honest and open.
I know you have to admit you've done wrong things and you're not perfect and ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you. In case you are wondering why, it's because most of us want to be a god and rule our lives. The only thing wrong with that, is we tend to mess our lives up more.
I could point out places in the Bible that show you will have blessings and not curses, have life and have it more abundantly, and even show you things about Hell.
So, now what happens when you accept Christ? What happens when you admit you're not God and you screw up?
Good question, glad you asked!
Know this, you won't feel a change like when you neck cracks or you take a shower after sweating in the yard. It's much more suttle and silent than that.
You will want to do things differently here on earth, your attitude will change, the things you use to do won't matter anymore and eventually you will find new and good things to do.
The change is most prominent when you die. Jesus will come for you and take you to a mansion in the sky instead of a blazing fire underground. The next time you are at a campfire, burning leaves or at a bon fire, know that underground you will be in that fire and feeling the torment from the blaze, but with God in your life and over your life you are saved from that fire.

Story of Salvation
I work with young adults (17 and 18 year old) and when they come to join us as interns we ask for their salvation story. Some of the stories are short, some are long, and some we have one on one discussions with to make sure they have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over their lives. It is our mission to fill the mansion Jesus is preparing for us.
One of our interns had a story that I thought was worth sharing and I received permission to share it with you.
"When I was very young, both my parents made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. At my young age I didn't fully understand the depth of Christianity and how it pertained to me. When I was ten, I began to question my parents about all that Jesus had done for me. My parents were never pushy, but always gentle and patient with my many questions. I gave my life to Christ on January thirtieth, seven years ago, while taking a shower. I was really excited and so were my parents! I'm thankful that I can remember that day so clearly, and hope to do so always."
After I read this I thought "wow, what a testimony." Here is a person that didn't accept Christ because the parents did, didn't wait until salvation was understood, but had a little talk with Jesus while in the shower. Now I call this being intimate with Christ! I recently encouraged my Bible study ladies to get intimate with God and find out what kind of relationship He wanted with them, have a dialogue with Him instead of just doing all the talking. Here is a 17 year old that did just that and asked the Lord into their life.
I also told my sisters in Christ that if you think God doesn't see you when you get undressed, before and after you are undressed, you are wrong. He knows the very number of hairs on your head, do you really think He doesn't know every mark, every freckle, or every hair on your body all together? Come one this is the Creator of the Universe we're talking about!
So, when was the last time YOU got intimate with Christ? When was the last time you had a dialogue with Him?
Maybe you never have taken the opportunity to talk with the Creator because you thought you weren't good enough, worthy enough, or even smart enough to talk to Him. Please don't think you can't talk to Him. He wants to hear from you, he loves your voice, and desires to hear from you. Come on, get in a quiet place and just start talking to Him.
I promise you won't surprise Him with anything you have to say, he won't judge you, and he won't say you are saying stupid things. No, He will listen and then give Him the opportunity to reply. It will be in a still small voice, but if you are quiet you will hear from Him. If you don't hear anything, keep talking anyways and then be still and know He heard you. You just might hear him as you relax and wait.
~ Enjoy,
Marjorie

Woken Up Waaay TOO Early!
I was woken up Waaay before my alarm was set to go off by my 4yr old Terrier, Sadie Mae. She stretched herself on me; was filled with anticipation as she panted and breathed hard. Next, she began to pace back and forth on the bed. I thought she needed some outdoor relief, so I got up and prepared to take her outside but her demeanor changed to a quiet and calm attitude, yet she was still panting rather deep. I thought maybe she needed some water and was feeling sick, so I got up to check her water bowl; it was full.
My next thought was maybe she just wanted some quality time with her mom, but she could have waited a few more hours for that and I would have been more than happy.
She began to calm down and I was just about to go back to sleep when I heard in the still of the darkness. Her stomach was growling...loud in the silence.
Now you might be giggling at this moment, but now think about this for just a moment.
What does God sometimes want from us? Our Attention.
What does God do to get our attention? Stirs things up a bit in our lives, wakes us up a lot earlier than our clock alarm is set at, and just when He has our attention, the reasons why we just went through our circumstances becomes all too clear.
Funny how God used a little four legged animal to get my attention to His lesson.
Now I am giggling.

Go for the Gold and Run Your Race!
I had the privilege of listening to Brian Thompson on Sunday afternoon This gentle man is a very humble man that gets fired up for Jesus. I honestly enjoyed listening to him teach. He was real and as a minister who messes up and keeps going is a gem. Thanks Brian.
Here are a few notes that I want to share with you from this fired up follower of Jesus.
Philippians 2:12-17 (NKJ) is where Brian read from:
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same reason you also be glad and rejoice with me.
In Philippi they were serious about their belief in Christ. Not just who Christ was but what He did on the cross for us. Working out our salvation in fear and trembling is developing a relationship with God, for it is He who works in us for Him. When you accept Jesus for who He is and what He did for you on the cross you can't help but become serious about your faith.
The Philippis were the same outside the church as they were on the inside. Are the Christians today the same or are we conforming to this world? Gay marriages are on the rise, where are we, the Christians that should be standing up and saying God's word doesn't teach that?
We should be doing everything we can to work in the field for the harvest and share God's word with others.
We are to be different-people should see a difference in us as especially after we've spent time with him in His word, cultivating our salvation.
When people see you do they see you've been with Jesus? If not, what are you doing or what are you not doing?
Beloved, we are not always going to get our own way. The Lord tells us in verse 14 to do everything without complaining and arguing. Not everyone in the church is going to get their way! There will always be something happening that you will not like, the walls won't be the right paint, the carpet won't be the color you want, SO WHAT! It's not about the building but the people within the building. We are to be shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
In the book of Acts there is a term you see that we should take more notice of "one accord." This means we, Christians, should be of one mind; not fighting and having division in the church. Bite your tongue and don't complain, murmur, or argue, only what we do for Christ will matter.
In verse 16 we are to be determined to hold firmly to God's word, but if you are not spending time with God and having that relationship with Christ, you will give into the dark days. There will be a day when we will be persecuted for our faith, will you be ready?
Christ is worth us coming out of our comfort zone. God was in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He was in Lion's den with Daniel, and in the grave with Christ Jesus. So, know that you may rejoice knowing that you have not labored in vein for God and He is with you.
Brian's challenge:
On the day God will ask "what did you do for me?" What will your answer be?
Today, be determined to live your life for Him and stand before God on your judgement day with joy.
What you do today determines your tomorrow and tomorrow may never come.

Where Does Your Peace Come From?
If you missed the Women's Summer Brunch you missed great music from local talent such as Sophia Smith, Lori Gill and Billie Barlow. The main speaker was Lydia Greear who was captivating in her message. I know that each of us catch different pieces of the sparks when we listen to speakers, but I felt lead to share what I heard from Lydia.
First here's some little bits about Lydia. Lydia is originally from Ashland, Kentucky and has been in Florida since 2007. She is married to Asa Greear who is the Director of Missions for the St Johns River Baptist Association. Lydia and Asa have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. She works for AT&T, is a certified fitness instructor/personal trainer since 1994. Lydia has held workshops in North Africa, Middle East and Europe. Her and Asa have spent 14 years serving the International Mission Boards. The first thing that caught my attention was when Lydia made the statement "there is peace in obedience." My first thought was "wow, she is right." I immediately thought about how she and Asa have been missionaries in other countries and she would know that there is peace in obedience first hand because she and Asa followed Jesus' direction to go; just as she stated.
In our journey "we don't know whose heart we are gonna touch or who we're gonna influence with a touch."This is especially true when we are doing what God wants you to do you. She also made the comment, "you will get attacked in many ways from many different directions." The one thing you must do to keep your peace is look up. Look up to the One who called you, Father God, who calls you to do His work. If you have peace in your heart, you know it is from Him.
Lydia shared that when you "put joy with peace you get happiness and without the joy you are without peace." Joy comes from the Lord, peace is from the Prince of Peace. The connection is one in the same. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you can't go wrong. Think of Peter as he stepped out of the boat, it wasn't until he took his eyes off of Jesus, stepping into his own ability that he sunk in the water. The same is for you and me. We must keep our eyes on Jesus in all circumstances.
It is easy for us women to hold onto the things that hurt instead of pressing into the fruit of the Spirit. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we receive these fruits as gifts; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness,, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. You are called to be a woman of faith.
I don't know exactly how she said this bu what I do know is that Jesus wants to know that we trust Him, want Him, desire Him, and need Him in our lives.
When we accept Jesus in our lives we are permeated by the Holy Spirit. She shared from Galatians, people make us do things we don't want to do and we know is wrong or we agree to do what is wrong. We take on challenges but don't prepare for the battle.
When we commit radiant acts of kindness it brings us peace. Through prayer, scripture, and acts of kindness we find peace. When we don't hang onto grudges and we aren't jealous of others; we find peace. Accept the things you cannot change just as they are; what you cannot change. When you have inner peace it will bring out outer peace. It will be evident in your walk, share your enthusiasm with others, impact the next 100 people with the fruit of the Spirit.
Lydia then ended with a question and a challenge. "How can you take the world as it is today and share your peace?
It was wonderful! I walked away refreshed and excited to share the love and peace of God with others.
Now you may be reading this and attended the conference; I hope you enjoyed Lydia as well. I want to say it again that we all hear things differently and sitting in the back of the fellowship hall is definitely true.
Thank you Lydia Greear you speak in front of your peers just as good, if not better, than Asa. We love you!
